Urban, organic, and awesome!

What a transformation - truly awesome LaManda. It's wonderful how a community garden can bring people together. Congratulations to everyone participating in this project.

I found Victory Seeds online this spring while researching Russian heirloom tomatoes. They were very nice handling my lost package, and I'll definitely be ordering from them again.

I'm looking forward to seeing how your veggies grow.

Wonderful history lesson. It's just plain awesome the exponential growth of organic home, school, and community vegetable gardening in recent years.

I think it is really cool how you do all these community projects. I don't know how you find the time. Maybe on my next trip to Chicago you can give me a tour before we go to dinner! Don't forget we have to go pick up MR. BrownThumb as well. :-) Enjoy your day - I love the information you shared. I am going to share this with my garden club later next week.

I like surprise in the garden, except last year I ended up with more jalapenos and less sweet peppers than I would have liked since none of the seedlings were labeled and I started more than I needed. The saga continues this year - I marked them with popsicle sticks, which I removed when they started to mold. Oh well, only sweet peppers were started this year - I pickled enough of last year's jalapenos to last until harvest time next year. :)
