The 2009 season is drawing to a close… we have labored over Labor Day weekend canning and freezing… and beginning the cleanup process to put the majority of The Yarden to bed for the winter. It has been sad this year because of the weird weather which caused an aphid infestation and late season blight for the tomatoes AND potatoes. But, overall, we can’t complain… we’ve had a lot of great produce, it is still coming, and a lot of great evenings with our beloveds enjoying this organic oasis in the city of Chicago.
