Nasturtium Buds + vinegar = capers?

There could be worse addictions than being obsessed with one’s garden. I guess. We were out there pulling out the rest of the nastiness from the recent frost when I realized some of the nasturtiums were still struggling along. That reminded me that I’d been wanting to make “Poor Man’s Capers” for about a decade so I got a bowl and started plucking the green, immature seeds. There were a lot of them. A little vinegar, spices, onion, garlic, pickling salt and voila! a lovely jar of more goodness to preserve for the winter. And so easy. Now I have to come up with the perfect recipe to serve them with…
